Collision repair shops and other industry businesses often struggle to find qualified help, but it may be a matter of neglecting to look in all the right places! Thousands of young people have fallen in love with the idea of working in this field and are pursuing a collision career through various educational programs around the country, and the Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF) wants to connect these future employees with the businesses looking to hire them! Don’t miss the opportunity to engage locally with hundreds of future collision repair professionals during the Foundation’s Fall 2024 High School and College Transportation Student Career Fairs.

“The collision industry offers a vast array of opportunities and career paths for students who have received entry-level training and are getting ready to start their careers, and CREF’s Career Fairs provides an ideal forum for collision centers, dealerships and even paint, tool and equipment companies to engage with future transportation industry professionals,” says CREF Program Manager Tiffany Bulak. “Engaging with students who are preparing to enter the field is vital for all segments of the industry as a means of generating brand awareness for the business and also to showcase the diverse career paths available to the students in attendance.”

Fall 2024 High School & College Transportation Student Career Fair Schedule

  • November 4: West-MEC High School (Phoenix, AZ)
  • December 5: Fort Hayes Career Center (Columbus, OH)
  • December 6: Ohio Technical College (Cleveland, OH)

To complement the physical career fair events and ensure CREF helps connect students with employers across the country, CREF also has an electronic student resume database with contact information for over 600 collision students.

Is your organization interested in participating in one (or more) of the events listed above – or would you like to collaborate with CREF to schedule one in your area? Contact [email protected].

If you’re unable to attend CREF’s upcoming career fairs, you can still let incoming technicians know your company is interested in helping them by sponsoring work uniforms to ensure the future workforce recognizes the value of looking professional. For a donation of just $80 per student, companies can supply students with a brand-new Cintas technician shirt (branded with your logo) and a pair of work pants. Alternately, a donation of $40 per student will provide students with a branded technician shirt. Sponsoring companies can also show support for collision students by opting to distribute the uniforms in person. Email [email protected] to learn more.

Industry members interested in getting involved and supporting the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s efforts to assist secondary and post-secondary collision repair training programs can Contact Us to learn about the many ways to get involved. Monetary donations can be made online.
